Mistral AI

Shipping giant CMA CGM has partnered with French AI startup Mistral AI in a €100 million, five-year agreement aimed at enhancing customer service and media operations. This collaboration brings CMA CGM's total AI investment to €500 million. The initiative focuses on improving responses to the approximately one million customer emails received weekly, including inquiries about vessel routing. Implementation of AI-driven solutions is expected within 6 to 12 months. Additionally, Mistral AI's tools will assist in fact-checking for CMA CGM's French media assets, such as BFM TV. Mistral AI anticipates a tenfold revenue increase between December 2024 and December 2025.
